Security Policy
How Aurora Trust Bank protects your money and your data, and what we ask of you in return.
Last updated 1 August 2026
1. How We Protect Your Account
- Layered sign-in. A password, then a four-digit transaction PIN, and optional two-factor verification by email.
- Lockout. Three failed password attempts lock the account for two hours.
- Idle timeout. Sessions end automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity, with a warning beforehand.
- Hashed credentials. Passwords and PINs are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be recovered by anyone, including our staff.
- Single-use transfer codes. Authorisation codes expire and cannot be reused.
- Sign-in records. Every sign-in, successful or not, is recorded with time, address and device, and is visible to you.
2. What We Will Never Ask You
Anyone who does is attempting fraud, regardless of what the caller display says or how convincing the email looks. End the call and phone us back on the number below.
3. Protecting Yourself
- Use a password unique to this account, and never reuse it elsewhere.
- Turn on two-factor verification in your profile settings.
- Check your transaction history regularly rather than only at month end.
- Sign out fully on shared or public computers.
- Treat unexpected urgency as a warning sign. Genuine bank requests are never rushed.
Joint accounts
Because a Joint Account shares one password and one PIN, the account is only as secure as the more casual of the two holders. Agree between you never to write the PIN down, never to share it outside the two of you, and to change it immediately if either of you suspects it is known.
4. Reporting Something Wrong
If you suspect fraud, have lost a card, or believe someone has accessed your account, call the 24-hour line immediately:
We would far rather investigate a false alarm than hear about a real loss a week later. Reporting promptly also protects your position under our liability terms.
Security researchers may report vulnerabilities to support@auroratrustbank.com. We investigate every report and will not pursue good-faith research.
